New Researcher Web-Portal SynEGY

The German Science Centre Cairo launched a web portal called “SynEGY” for researchers which is connected with the website dwz-kairo.de.

The DWZ introduced itself at the BioVision 2014

From 7-9 April 2014 the high-ranking international symposium BioVision had been held under the topic “New Life Sciences: The Next Decade” with excellent researchers and scientists from all over the world. The DWZ participated in the conference in Bibliotheca Alexandrina with lectures, a panel discussion and information booth.

ARABTERM - A technical online dictionary for the Arab world

By way of the BMZ-commissioned regional project ARABTERM, the Federal Government supports the transfer of technical knowledge and knowledge exchange amongst and with the Arab states in order to sustain integration in the global economy.

The intervention of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GmBH) GIZ aims at reinforcing the structures of the partner organization, The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and its branch, The Arabization Coordination Bureau (BCA).

Industry Academia Collaboration (IAC) Conference 2014

On the 3rd and 4th of March 2014, the German Science Centre (DWZ)  took part in the Industry Academia Collaboration (IAC) Conference 2014 organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF) and Academy of Scientific Research &Technology (ASRT).

The goal of the conference was to bring together stakeholders from the fields of science, research, industry and politics in Egypt and the Arab world to support and extend the cooperation between the different fields.

QS Subject Ranking in 2014: Freie Universität Berlin among World's 200 Best Universities in 21 Subjects

The prestigious QS World University Rankings by Subject places Freie Universität Berlin among the best 200 universities worldwide in 21 of 30 subjects considered – whereby four of the 30 subjects are in the fields of engineering, and they are not offered by Freie Universität.
